Des Plaines, Ill. (Aug. 17, 2026) — Whether you're a high school student planning your future, a parent helping your student choose the right college or an adult learner ready for a new career, Oakton College's Fall Open House is the perfect place to get started.

Join us Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oakton's Des Plaines campus, 1600 E. Golf Road. At this free event, bring your questions and discover how Oakton can help you achieve your educational and career goals. Explore academic programs, meet faculty and staff and even apply for admission.

  • Explore 150+ degree and certificate programs and connect with faculty, advisors and student services representatives.
  • Learn about financial aid, scholarships and grants during informative workshops designed to help make college affordable.
  • Tour the campus and visit spaces including the Learning Commons, the Koehnline Museum of Art and the Fitness Center.

During the Open House, community partners and organizations will provide valuable resources to support Oakton students, their families and community members. Participating organizations include Pace Bus, Advocate Health, the City of Des Plaines, Des Plaines Public Library, Des Plaines Elks Club, Niles Township Government, the office of Illinois State Rep. Justin Cochran, Partnership Financial Credit Union and the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer.
